Waitsburg High School Band and MS Guitar Class perform Christmas Concert 

WAITSBURG - Members of the Waitsburg High School band and the middle school's guitar class performed at the school district's Christmas Concert held on Thursday, December 11.

Eighth-grade guitar student, Davina Navarrette, was joined on stage by Kate Hockersmith, Carrie Hendrix, Dan Nechodom, and teacher Elizabeth Jagelski.

The guitarists entertained the audience with six holiday tunes, including "Ode to Joy", "Angeline the Baker," "Jingle Bells," and "Feliz Navidad". Navarrette represented her guitar class, taught in conjunction with Hockersmith and Hendrix at TVAMP on Monday mornings.

High school band students Sarah Daves on flute, Andrew Gillum and Yaneli Flores on trumpet, Joy Nechodom playing saxophone, and Rozalynn Harvey on percussion performed with their teacher Jagelski.

The band began its set with "Deck the Halls" and "Jingle Bells," followed by a solo performance of "The First Noel" by Daves. Next, the audience enjoyed "Jolly Old Saint Nicholas" and "Up on a House Top" performed by the band, followed by a second solo by Daves performing "Silent Night." The evening's concert concluded with two classic carols, "Angels We Have Heard on High" and "Ding, Dong, Merrily on High."
