Gary Myers
Gary Myers attends classes at WHS and is in his second year at SEATech Skill Center for welding. He has attended school in Waitsburg since the sixth grade and was on the Mat Birds Wrestling team during sixth and seventh grades.
Myers enjoys working on his truck and plans on taking diesel technology classes at Walla Walla Community College in the fall.
At WHS, Myers is a past member of FFA. He has shown pigs during his freshman and sophomore years. He volunteers to assist a Veteran and lends a hand at the Kiwanis booth at the Columbia County Fairs.
His favorite memory is the yearbook class taught by Mr. Christensen.
Kaydance Tiner
Kaydance Tiner lives in Dixie and started classes at Waitsburg in the sixth grade.
Tiner has participated in basketball for two years, three years in track, and is a member of the Sources of Strength program. She volunteered at the concession stand and the Amazing Shake haunted house during her senior year.
The color war during homecoming is her favorite memory of high school.
Tiner plans on doing odd jobs this summer after graduation, including house sitting, yard work, and dog sitting. In the fall, she plans on attending Walla Walla Community College to get her Associate of Arts in car mechanics and a business degree. In the future, she would like to own a mechanic shop in Walla Walla.
Morgan Lindsey
Morgan Lindsey came to Waitsburg High School for her senior year. She jumped right into activities, playing volleyball, joining the FFA, and being elected girl representative for the Class of 2025.
She has played basketball for three years and has volunteered as a line judge at middle school volleyball games. She has also helped at concession stands.
Lindsey loves spending time with her reptiles and dogs. After graduation, she plans to attend Walla Walla Community College to get her Associate of Arts degree and then transfer to Washington State University to become an exotic veterinarian.
A favorite memory of Lindsey's is when she was accidentally hit with a ball by a teammate.
Alyssa Byers
Alyssa Byers has been at Waitsburg Schools since eighth grade.
Byers participated in track for three years and enjoyed competing in the 200m and the javelin events. She met her goal in 200m at Lind/Ritzville this season.
In eighth grade, she said, COVID-19 arrived in Waitsburg. In high school, she was in the Sources of Strength program during her sophomore and junior years. She appreciated the opportunity to tutor reading to third-grade students, helping at concession stands, and being involved for two years at the Amazing Shake haunted house event.
After graduation, Byers would like to own a shop. She enjoys floriculture, crafts, painting, and jewelry making.
Byers' favorite memories of high school are hanging out with friends and meeting her personal goal in track.
