Waitsburg School's Spring Concert highlights talented students

WAITSBURG - The 2024 Waitsburg High/Middle School spring band/choir concert with director Mrs. Elizabeth Jagelski was a huge success on Wednesday, April 24, in the high school auditorium.

The audience was treated to the sixth-grade band playing "Go for Excellence," "Skip to My Lou," "Mexican Mountain Song," and a scale skill presentation.

Following a piano solo by Emily Kudson, the seventh-grade band played the "Pink Panther Theme" and "Rondeau."

The choir delighted the audience with "Skye Boat Song" from the series "Outlander," the Everly Brothers' "All I Have to Do is Dream," and "True, Loyal and Brave."

Bryer Paul played a baritone saxophone solo, followed by the eighth through 12th-grade band, which finished the evening's performance by playing the "Star Wars Theme" and "Sing, Sing, Sing." The seventh-grade band members joined in for the last three songs: "Sweet Caroline," "Cantina," and "Patriotic Medley."

After the concert, Elizabeth Jagelski presented awards to Reuben Yutzy, William Daves, Sarah Daves, Fredy Chavez, Griffen Hinchliffe, Vayden Guay, Leif Heckman, Juca Ferreira, and Bryer Paul for dedication and attendance at football and basketball games, concerts, parades and community events.
