WAITSBURG - Waitsburg High School's track team participated in the Clay Lewis Invite at Hanford on Saturday, March 30.  Competing against 1A and 3A schools was good preparation before their first league meet on April 9 at Pomeroy.

The Cardinals competed against thirteen large schools and two 1B schools.  "Athletes can have their best performances (PRs) and still place in the double-digits in these large meets," said Coach Nechodom.

PRs:  Alyssa Hollingsworth & Makenna Barron: 100 meters and long jump; Ava Childers and Addison Crenshaw: shot put and discus; Marion Duncan: 200 and 400 meters; Cedar Stegall: 400 meters; Alyssa Byers: 400 meters.  Reuben Yutzy, Blake French and Brenton Segraves: 100 meters; French: triple jump and Teegan Kenney: long jump.
