Eastern Star Chapter #9 plans info booth at Fall Festival

WAITSBURG - Waitsburg’s Order of the Eastern Star will be present at this year’s Fall Festival at the Bruce Memorial Mansion on Sunday, September 17.

Formed in 1889, Chapter #9 continues to meet the first Monday of each month September to June at Waitsburg’s Masonic Lodge.

“We will have a table set up with information about Eastern Star for those interested in information about us,” said Anita Baker, longtime member.

The group’s had its first fall meeting in September. According to Baker. since Labor Day was on the first Monday of the month, the first fall meeting for the group was Tuesday, September 5.
