MS baseball team gets a win

WAITSBURG-The Waitsburg middle school boys baseball team defeated Touchet 10-1 in Waitsburg on April 26.

Trace Nesje pitched three innings for the Cardinals, recording several strikeouts with Isaac Mahre as catcher. Then Mahre pitched relief, and Nesje moved to the catcher.

The Cardinals had strong fielding against a young Touchet team. Both teams played hard and enjoyed a beautiful afternoon game.

Cardinal hitters: Rollin Carpenter, Nesje, Mahre, Landon Henry, JJ Gleason, Griffen Hinchliffe.

In the season's first game, the Cardinals lost at Desales on April 24.
