DW COMBINE-DW was eliminated in the opening round of the WIAA Boys State Basketball tournament on Saturday, February 25. The team lost 53–35 to Lind-Ritzville-Sprague at Cheney High School on Saturday, February 25.
The LRS Broncos scored first on a 3-point shot and led 6-0 before DW got on the scoreboard on a free-throw by Monte Pettichord. The Wolfpack continued to trail throughout the first quarter.
A 3-point shot by Pettichord, a 2-point basket by Spencer Hansen, and free-throws by Pettichord put the Wolfpack ahead 17-14 at the start of the second quarter. LRS came back and had a 24-21 lead...
