WALLA WALLA-Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Walla Walla and Spectrum Reach has named Sarabeth McGowen Outstanding Student of the Month for October. McGowen is a senior at Waitsburg High School and is exploring a career in early childhood education or as a paralegal. She is the daughter of Tracy and Kimberly McGowen, and her older brother Samuel is a WHS alumnus.

McGowen is currently the treasurer for the National Honor Society and her senior class.  She participates in Pep Band (percussion) and works at the Cardinal Nest, an after-school program, assisting with the art program. She helped with Vacation Bible School this past summer, works in the Waitsburg Presbyterian Church nursery and assists at the Adult Bible Study by babysitting participants' children and helping serve dinner. After graduation, Sarabeth plans to continue being involved with the community.

High school teacher Roseann Groom stated that the high school staff nominated Sarabeth based on her kindness, willingness to do what is asked of her, outstanding grades, and service to the community.

You can watch Sarabeth's TV spot on various Spectrum cable networks, including CNN and Roots Sports, through October. Congratulations Sarabeth!
