At the Liberty: The Jungle Book

August 4, 2022

DAYTON—The Jungle Book live - on Friday and Saturday, August 5 and 6, at 7 pm - performed by local children, who will have rehearsed since August 1. The storyline is: Ever been abandoned in the jungle, adopted by wolves, taught by a bear, befriended by a panther, and chased by a tiger? In the musical adaptation of The Jungle Book, Mowgli the man-cub has all these adventures and more. Join him as he escapes from the Monkey-people, outwits a tiger, enlists the help of a rock python, explores what it means to be human, and learns a lesson from the brave mongoose Rikki-Tikki-Tavi. Original music and rollicking humor give new life to the classic tale by Rudyard Kipling.

Please see the Liberty Theater website to reserve seats. We have eliminated the seat buffering between groups. However, the incidence and spread of the BA.5 variant of COVID are high, so we highly recommend that you wear face masks in the theater. We appreciate your cooperation.

There will be no movies shown on Friday (Aug. 5), Saturday, Sunday or Tuesday (Aug. 9). Our next movie will be Minions: The Rise of Gru beginning on August 12.
