Judith Marlene Johnson Van Tassel

Judith (Judy) Marlene Johnson Van Tassel was born September 30, 1952, in Moses Lake, Washington, and passed away unexpectedly after heart surgery on April 16, 2021, in Portland Oregon.

Judy is survived by her husband, Lorance, of Waitsburg, Washington, sons Kevin of Waitsburg, and Monte, daughter-in-law Cian, and one baby granddaughter, Emmaline Shea, of Bend, Oregon.

Judy is also survived by her four brothers, Jim Johnson of Hermiston, Oregon, Jeff Johnson of Milton-Freewater, Oregon, Jerrold Johnson of Hermiston, and Joel Johnson of Ocala, Florida, as well as aunts, uncles, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Dr. Milton James, and Wanda Lorraine Johnson.

She was universally loved by all of her immediate and extended families which also includes many sisters and brothers-in-law. Her loving sunny positive personality attracted all who knew her; she will be sorely missed by all her numerous family members and friends.

Judy was a member of the Dayton, Washington SDA Church, and remained a faithful member all her life. She loved to share her love of God with her beautiful voice, often accompanied by Lorance on his guitar.

Memorial Services will be conducted at the Hermiston, Oregon Seventh-day Adventist Church on June 27, 2021, at 11:00 am to be followed by a graveside service and interment at Hermiston Cemetery.
