At the Liberty: Godzilla vs. Kong

Released in 2021, Godzilla vs.Kong is the sequel to Godzilla: King of the Monsters from 2019. Set in a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future brings Godzilla and Kong to a collision that will see the two titans collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. Kong and his protectors, including a young, orphaned girl named Jia, undertake a perilous journey to find his true home. Jia (Kaylee Hottle) has a powerful bond with Kong and can communicate with him in sign language. Monarch (the Titan-studying organization) embarks on a dangerous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins. A human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.

Rotten Tomatoes has a 75% approval rating and an audience score of 91%. Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of creature violence and brief language, with a runtime of 113 minutes. Showings are on May 14, 15,16, and 18, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Sunday at 3:00 p.m., and Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. (not 7:30).

The Liberty Theater has recently had some issues with children’s behavior in the balcony, which has caused safety concerns and required lots of clean-up. For safety and insurance reasons, we currently do not allow anyone under 13 in the front row, and we do not allow anyone under 13 elsewhere in the balcony without a parent. This is not a new policy, but recent events make it necessary to bring it to your attention.
