Dayton-The Blue Mountain Artists Guild Gallery Shows are now open to the public. This marks one year since the Guild went to virtual gallery exhibitions in Dayton, Washington.

The guild has been working in isolation since pandemic restrictions were imposed early last year. Now that local exhibition venues are back open, artwork can be seen and experienced in person at four locations around Dayton and online via the virtual gallery videos. The members voted unanimously to continue with the YouTube Videos because they can easily be shared on social media and via email or text with friends and family.

The challenge for March 2021 is 'My Happy Place.' It was chosen at the last meeting, where members could attend in person, back in November 2019. The artwork is now available for viewing at the beautifully remodeled Dayton Memorial Library in the Delany Room. The accompanying video, My Happy Place 2021- An Uplifting Art Experience can be found on YouTube and on the Blue Mountain Artists Guild's Facebook Page.

The cover art for the video, "Camping," was created by artist Laurie Nichols – one of the guild members whose work is now on the traffic utility box across from Andy's Market in College Place. Guild artists bring a wide variety of excellent art in many forms of media. Bev Startin has been creating prayer flags from fabric, while Ellen Heath, Kris Takemura, Sylvia Beulher, Michele Smith, and Lorna Barth work primarily in watercolors.

The Guild invites you to enjoy a trip to Dayton to see the artwork from the Blue Mountain Artists Guild in person at the Dayton Memorial Library, The Liberty Theater, Dayton General Hospital, and soon at the recently reopened Weinhard Hotel. You can also enjoy this gallery show from anywhere on your smartphone using the QR code provided below or on YouTube https://youtu.be/YXa0y9PWa-g and at the Guild's Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/BlueMountainArtistsGuild.
