The Times - Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley

WALLA WALLA—A networking breakfast will be hosted by Junior Achievement (JA) of Washington on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at the Marcus Whitman Hotel & Conference Center. The breakfast buffet begins at 7 a.m., and the program, themed “Ignite the Spark,” takes place from 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. The event will shine a spotlight on JA’s life-changing programs for students. By connecting young people with caring and engaged volunteers from communities across the Walla Walla Valley, JA delivers proven programs that promote critical life skills, such as managing money, making the connection between education and career, and learning what it takes to start a business.

The breakfast’s keynote speakers – administrators and business partners from across the Walla Walla Valley – will be featured via a specially created video by Tangent Media Group. There will also be in-person testimonials from students, educators, and volunteers.

The public is invited to Ignite the Spark and there is no cost to attend. There will be opportunities to support and partner with JA of Washington throughout the event.
