WALLA WALLA-The Painting for Passage show debuted in the grand lobby of the Marcus Whitman hotel featuring the watercolor and acrylic paintings of Leigh Anne Adkins.
Adkins' artworks favor the abstract expressionist style popularized by artists like Jackson Pollock and were at auction during the Spring Barrel Crush event.
Collectors circled the bidding table to the gentle strummings of harpist Chelsea Carter. Carter's original composition, "Heavenly," filled the great hall right up to its vaulted ceilings with ethereal sounds fit for a cherub.
