WAITSBURG-Waitsburg musician and wine writer Paul Gregutt, has released a single and accompanying video for his song "Lights Out." The song was written by Gregutt and recorded at Super Plaid Studios in Walla Walla.

The video's scenes were filmed by Gregutt's wife, Karen Stanton-Gregutt, in Seattle's homeless encampments. It was edited by Moe Shore, who overlaid somber shots of Gregutt strumming his acoustic guitar under a spotlight.

The lyrics paint a picture of a general homeless character, as seen in many urban cities.

"He's sleeping underneath the bridge with just enough cheap wine to kill the cold," sings Gregutt, "and deep in his dreams of the wife and kids, his prison opens wide and he's paroled."

Gregutt is offering the song free of charge to any organization working to aid the homeless.

"Please angels set this spirit free," he sings, "take this troubled soul and fly away cause I know it might just as well be me and nothing's quite as peaceful as a grave."
