DW Falls to Columbia Burbank, 25-8

DW stays close for three quarters in rusty start to new season

BURBANK—he Dayton-Waitsburg football team dropped its first game of the season Friday night on the road at Columbia-Burbank, 25-8

The Coyotes scored touchdowns in the first and second quarters to take a 13-0 lead going into the half. But the DW defense stiffened up in the third quarter and held CB scoreless.

“We came out tentative and confused with the Columbia-Burbank Defense,” said DW Coach Troy Larsen. “At half time we were able to coach the kids up on what CB was doing and had a really good third quarter.”
