Waitsburg-A blessing box has been installed in front of the Waitsburg Christian Church. In it, individuals in need will find food and hygiene products.

This community resource is "open to all with no judgment or questions asked," said the church's Senior Pastor, Matthew Wyatt.

For its inaugural run, the three-shelved pantry is stocked with dish soap, ramen soup, toilet paper and peanut butter. But in the future, contents will vary.

Citizens are invited to donate items to the box as well.

"If you can place items in the box, we are thankful. If you need to take something out of the box, you are welcome to it. There won't be a lock on the box or questions asked on why you need something," Wyatt said.

Wyatt said he would also like to thank David Long for handling the construction project.

Wyatt also noted that the box will not replace the Waitsburg Food Bank, but will function in addition to it and serve those with immediate needs.

The Waitsburg Resource Center food bank is open Thursdays and Saturdays from 2-4 p.m.
