First Day Hike at Palouse Falls

COLUMBIA COUNTY – Kick off the New Year with a First Day Hike at Palouse Falls State Park at 10 a.m. on Jan. 1. Enjoy views of the official state waterfall while learning about area flora, fauna and geology during this guided one-mile hike.

Palouse Falls is a 105-acre park featuring dramatic evidence of the Ice Age Floods. Leave No trace principles will be taught and practiced. Refreshments and prizes will be available following the hike.

This is an “easy” hike. Dress for weather conditions and bring binoculars or a camera, water, and closed-toe hiking shoes. No dogs allowed and the hike is not ADA accessible. No Discover Pass is needed for this special event.
