Human Migration Community Conversation

October 12, 2017

DAYTON – The Dayton Memorial Library and Humanities Washington have collaborated to bring speaker David Fenner to Dayton for a free speaker’s bureau event titled The Long Haul: Stories of Human Migration. The community is invited to engage in conversation with Fenner on Thurs., Oct. 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the library.

In his talk, Fenner explores the factors that cause human migration, which in turn can help us understand more fully events in the headlines and better know the mosaic of peoples who have settled in the Pacific Northwest.

For more than 200,000 years, Homo sapiens have moved around the planet drawn and driven by natural and man-made forces such as drought, floods, crop failure, was, the quest for survival, or the hope for a better future.
