DAYTON – Filing for 2017 elections in Columbia and Walla Walla Counties will open next week. Positions are open for Dayton and Starbuck city councils, Dayton, Waitsburg and Starbuck school boards, local fire districts, Columbia County Hospital District and the Port of Columbia.
Candidates may file at the appropriate county auditor’s office from Monday through Friday next week. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Candidates may also file online at the county auditors’ websites. Online filing has already opened.
