The Times - Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley

DAYTON – The Dayton Backroads Club is holding an Independence Day Fun Run/Walk Saturday morning beginning at 9 a.m.

Runners and walkers can choose between a 12k course and a 5k course. Both runs will begin at the Dayton High School gym and follow an out-and-back course up Cemetery Road.

The course includes gravel roads and some steep stretches. The 5k course has a 600-foot elevation gain, and the 12k course has a bit more. There are great views at the top.
