Passmore to Run for Commissioner

DAYTON - Dr. Norm Passmore told The Times on Tuesday that he plans to run for the District 1 seat on the Columbia County Board of Commissioners. That position is currently held by Dwight Robanske.

“This is something that I’ve been considering for quite awhile,” he said. “I think it’s time.”

Passmore sold his Dayton dental practice to Alder Family Dental late last year, and is currently working part time in that office during its transition period (see article at left.)

Filing for elections this year begins May 16. Robanske’s position, as well as the District 2 position held by Mike Talbott are open this year.

Robanske is finishing his fourth four-year term, having first been elected in 2000.
