Arraignment:

Kyle Robert Jamerson, 30, Walla Walla, entered a plea of not guilty to possession of methamphetaime, from an incident that occurred in July, 2015 and was released on bond.

Eric VanZandt, 31, Dayton, entered a not guilty plea to charges of 2nd degree assault, violation of a protection order – 2 prior violations – domestic violence, and one count of 4th degree assault, domestic violence. The charges relate to a Jan. 29 altercation with his girlfriend. He is being held in the Columbia County Jail on $100,000 surety bond. Omnibus and trial setting are set for Feb. 17.

Johan Martin Filla, Dayton, entered not guilty pleas to charges of 2nd degree assault, domestic violence; unlawful imprisonment of an adult, domestic violence; third degree assault, domestic violence. He is being held in Columbia County Jail on $20,000 cash/surety bond. Julie Karl withdrew as counsel and Irving Rosenberg was appointed.

John G. Waltermire, 25, Dayton, was to be arraigned on one charge of possession of methamphetamine. Defendant was in Department of Corrections custody so prosecution was continued to Feb. 17.

Plea Agreement:

Austin Kimmons, 19, Dayton; charged with two counts of possession of a stolen firearm, and one count of possession of marijuana. Kimmons pled guilty to the first two charges and the third charge was dismissed. Sentencing is scheduled for March 2, 2016.

Trials Set:

Dante A. Brown (Martinez), 20, Dayton, charged with delivery of methamphetamine. A global resolution is in the works, meaning this charge would be included in a deal with other pending charges. Brown is being held in Columbia County Jail on a $25,000 cash surety bond. Trial setting is scheduled for March 2, 2016.

Steven R. Long, 28, Dayton, charged with 17 counts of burglary, theft, possession of controlled substance, and possession of stolen property, all related to events that occurred in April, 2013. Trial was set for Feb. 17.

Lonnie Marrick, 39, Waitsburg, charged with possession of methamphetamine and criminal trespassing. Trial set for March 31-April 1.

Other:

Jeffrey Allan Brooks, 22, Walla Walla. Brooks is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, and possession of methamphetamine. His conditions of release, which stipulate no further criminal violations, were revisited after he was cited for driving with a suspended license. Brooks said he didn’t know his license was suspended. He was released on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond.
