COLLEGE PLACE – The Waitsburg Girls’ basketball team went on the road Saturday and struggled against a strong Walla Walla Valley Academy team, losing 66-42.

The teams played even in the first half, with the Lady Cardinals down 27-23 at the intermission. However, WWVA pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring Waitsburg, 25-5.

For the game, Caitlin Mohney led the cardinals with nine points, and Tayler Jones added eight. Devon Harshman had big night on the boards, pulling down 15 rebounds.
