Lady Bulldogs End Season at Regionals

ASOTIN – The Dayton Bulldogs volleyball team wrapped up their season after making it to Regionals with losses to Wilbur-Creston in Colfax on Wed., Nov. 4 and to Reardan in Asotin on Sat. Nov. 7.

The Lady Dogs lost their first match to Wilbur-Creston who later took third place at Regionals and advanced to State. Coach Shannon Turner didn't have stats available for the Wilbur-Creston game but said that Tatumn Laughery had an excellent night making a season-high 19 digs.

The Bulldogs faced Reardan on Saturday without starters Josilyn Fullterton and Hannah Becker who were out due to illness and other commitments. "Mia Becker set for us and did an amazing job," Turner said.

The Bulldogs fell to the Indians in three sets: 11-25, 25-27, 10-25. Jenna Phillips served a perfect 10 for 10, dished out six kills and three aces, and made eight blocks and five digs. Mia Becker made nine assists, seven digs, one ace and went eight for nine on the serving line. Scully Castorena dished out seven kills and Tatumn Laughery made 13 digs.
