DAYTON – The Horse Crazy Cowgirl Band will perform a fundraising event at The Liberty Theater on Sat. Oct. 17. Proceeds will go to the Touchet Valley Arts Council, which owns and operates the theater.

The award-winning female western music trio is known for their fun presentations that bring the Wild West to life. Since the spring of 2000, the band has produced five award-winning albums and has performed across the United States and Canada.

The group's latest recording; "My Horse Knows the Way Home," hit #2 on the Top 20 Cowboy Western Music Playlist and remained in the Top 20 for 18 months.

The Horse Crazy Cowgirl Band won the Western Music Association 2014 Best of the Best Harmony Award and were finalists in the 2012 for Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Entertainer of the Year. They are also 2009 Crescendo Awards Winners and Harmony Trio of the Year in 2009 and 2010.

The band is led by Lauralee Northcott's vocals and songwriting. Jennifer Epps brings vocals, harmonica and percussion. Judy Coder adds yodeling, vocals and swing guitar.

Saturday's performance is a fundraiser for the theater and tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students. Tickets may be purchased online at http://www.libertytheater.org or at the theater during business hours.
