Project Timothy Receives Grant

DAYTON – Project Timothy has received two grants to assist in meeting the basic needs of individuals and families in Dayton and the surrounding areas. The grants were contributed by the “Live United” mini grant from the United Way of Walla Walla County and the Blue Mountain Community Foundation.

Project Timothy is a Christian-aid organization that provides emergency financial assistance primarily to people living in Dayton, Waitsburg, Starbuck and the surrounding community. Financial assistance is provided primarily for emergency housing, utilities and food. Volunteers at the Project Timothy office follow the organization’s approved guidelines when providing financial assistance to those in need.

Assistance is limited due to funding availability; many applications are reviewed and audited for accuracy. Project Timothy operates solely on grants and donations from organizations, churches, county budgets, and individuals.

Anyone wanting to donate funds or volunteer time to the efforts of Project Timothy, contact the office at 249 East Main St. in Dayton or call 509-382-2943.
