WAITSBURG – The Waitsburg Resource Center (WRC) is hosting a visit from the Northwest Medical Teams International Mobile Dental Clinic on Wednesday, July 29.

The program provides free, urgent dental care to low-income children and adults who lack insurance or a realistic way to pay for treatment. The van is staffed by local dentists, assistants and van drivers who volunteer their time.

Appointments will be scheduled between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m., and must be made by July 29. Call Pam Conover at (509) 337-8876 to schedule an appointment.

Check-in will be at the WRC, which is located at 106 Preston Avenue (in the AmericanWest Bank building).

The WRC, a cooperative ministry of the Waitsburg Christian, Presbyterian and Catholic churches, provides food and resources to families in the Waitsburg and Prescott school districts. The center receives commodities under the Federal Food Assistance Program, channeled through the Blue Mountain Action Council.

Financial and food donations are always welcome and may be delivered during regular center hours: Thursdays from 2-4 p.m. and Saturdays from 9-11 a.m. The center is currently in need of peanut butter, canned tuna, sugar, flour, beef flavored ramen noodles and toilet paper.
