Long-Time Chronicle Publisher Dies

 


DAYTON - Jack Williams, who published the Dayton Chronicle newspaper for 33 years, died July 7. He was 74.

Williams suffered a heart attack on June 29, and was transported to Kadlec Medical Center in Richland. He was transferred to a hospice on July 6.

Williams had just retired in early June, after selling the Chronicle to Loyal and Charlotte Baker. A memorial service for Williams was to be held Wednesday morning.
