The Times - Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley

STARBUCK - Registration for the second annual Swim the Snake fundraiser swim for the Blue Mountain Resource Conservation and Development Council, the Dayton Swim Team and the Pomeroy Swim Team is underway. The swim will take place August 9 with registration and check-in from 9 a.m. to 10:45. The swim begins at 11 a.m.

The swim is a recreational swim (not a race) across the Snake River from Lyons Ferry State Park site to the Lyons Ferry Marina. The swim is open to anyone 10 years and older. Participants under 15 must swim with a designated adult. The entry fee is $30 and include a T-shirt, swim cap (required) and return transportation to parking on the north side of the river.
