Kids Football Camp a “Huge Success”

 

Thirty-five youngsters participated in the 15th Kids Football Camp in Waitsburg last week. High school athletes and volunteer coaches helped the young players develop basic skills, teamwork and sportsmanship.

WAITSURG - Coach Jeff Bartlow wrapped up his 15th Kids Football Camp last week, and deemed it a "huge success." Thirty-five athletes participated in what Bartlow describes as "a rich tradition and one that the kids love to be a part of."

Players work on basic skills as well as teamwork and sportsmanship. The camp was split into two sessions. Mornings were dedicated to offense (catching, throwing, running and blocking) and special teams (kicking, punting and snapping). Athletes then play two 7x7 games before breaking for lunch.
