Friday, May 16

10 a.m. to 6 p.m. --Waitsburg Shopping Bag at Waitsburg Town Hall; multiple vendors, breakfast, lunch and snacks all day.

6:30 p.m. -- Free family entertainment at the Plaza Theater, Main Street

Evening -- Antique Auto Show Cruise

Saturday, May 17

8 a.m. -- Breakfast at Waitsburg Town Hall

8 a.m. to 5 p.m. -- Waitsburg Shopping Bag; multiple vendors, food all day

9 a.m. - All-City Dead Man's Hand Poker Ride: Check-in, registration and staging for parade at Rankin Park (North Main and East Bolles Road) Riders receive first card at start; must be 18 and older to gamble (all may ride). Email bluecrystal@gotvc.net to pre-register or for more info.

9:30 a.m. - Kiddie Parade: Check in at 9 a.m. at north end of Main Street. Youngsters are encouraged to decorate bikes, trikes, wheeled toys and wagons with our nation's colors in accordance with the parade's theme, "Celebrate America in Waitsburg."


10 a.m. - Main Street Celebration Days Parade

11 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Open House at the Bruce Mansion Museum (Main Street); Carriage rides by AJ Carriages

11 a.m. to 3 p.m. - Antique Auto Show, Preston Park, Downtown Waitsburg

Noon -- Mayor's Luncheon for Waitsburg Celebration Days Court and invited guests

1 p.m. to 4 p.m. - Live on-stage entertainment at the Waitsburg Fairgrounds

1 p.m. to 4 p.m. - Brewmaster Challenge at the paddock at the Waitsburg Fairgrounds. Five local brewery's will compete for the People's Choice Award. Buy a glass to taste each submission and cast your poker chip ballot for the brew of your choice.


1:30 p.m. - "Playdate" with Queen Megan and other local royalty at the Waitsburg Fairgrounds. Children may rope, color pictures, read a story and have their photo taken with royalty.

2 p.m. - Dead Man's Poker Ride winner announced at Waitsburg Fairgrounds

4 p.m. - People's Choice Winner of Brewmaster Challenge announced at Waitsburg Fairgrounds

5 p.m. to 8 p.m. - Burger Feed at Lion's Memorial Building, Waitsburg Fairgrounds. Tickets are $7 for those under 18 and $10 for those over (includes dance admission) and must be purchased in advance. Purchase tickets at Waitsburg Grocery or message (509) 520-2124.

8 p.m. to midnight - Band and Brews at the Don Thomas Building, Waitsburg Fairgrounds. Dance to the sound of the award-winning Frog Hollow band. Admission is included with Burger Feed ticket (see above).


Sunday, May 18

9 a.m. -- Breakfast at Waitsburg Town Hall

9:30 a.m. - Coppei Coffee Bag Race for all ages at Preston Park

10 a.m. - Duck Race on the Touchet River from Highway 12 Bridge to on Waitsburg Main Street Bridge.

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Waitsburg Shopping Bag at Waitsburg Town Hall; vendors and food all day

11 a.m. - Cowboy Church at the grandstands at the Waitsburg Fairgrounds

Noon to 3 p.m. - Family-friendly midway games at the Waitsburg Fairgrounds

Noon - Mutton busting, Waitsburg Fairgrounds

1 p.m. - Fireman's Competition at the Waitsburg Fairgrounds

2 p.m. - Lawn Mower Obstacle Course at the Waitsburg Fairgrounds (18 and over)


3 p.m. - Duck Derby winners announced at Waitsburg Fairgrounds
