The Times - Serving Waitsburg, Dayton and the Touchet Valley

In order to teach her children about gratitude and giv- ing, local Mom Jamie Gleason has started The Kid's Big Give, a program where local families can come together to help their community. The group is accepting donations for care packages for those in need as well as Thanksgiving Feast boxes. All families are invited to help assemble the bags and boxes at the Waits- burg Elementary School from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 23.

The Kid's Big Give is cur- rently accepting donations which can be dropped off at the Waitsburg Grocery. If you have items that you need picked up, contact Gleason at 386-1565. Items needed for care packages include toilet paper, laundry soap, toothbrushes, etc. Donations needed for the Thanksgiving Feast boxes include: turkeys, canned goods, stuffing, etc. Shoe boxes and reusable gro- cery bags are in need as well.
