WALLA WALLA - The Walla Walla Valley Metro- politan Planning Organiza- tion is seeking members for a Special Needs Transportation Coalition.

WWVMPO is responsible for creating a Human Services Transportation Plan for the region. The Plan will be due to Washington State Department of Transportation, Federal Highways Administration, and Federal Transit Admin- istration by fall 2014. We are hoping to use a coalition to create the vision, goals, policies, project selection criteria, project list, and provide infor- mation on the services (those already in place and those identified as unmet needs for our special needs populations) in the area.

WWVMPO is the trans- portation planning group for the Walla Walla/College Place/Milton-Freewater met- ropolitan planning area. As such, we receive federal, state, and local funding to coordinate the various modes of public and private transpor- tation planning and programs. Soon we expect to be the Regional Transportation Plan- ning Organization that covers almost all of Walla Walla County.
