Honor Flight Reception & Info

October 24, 2013

DAYTON -- The 2013 Honor Flight participants and their guardians will be honored at a coffee/cookie reception in the Dayton Elementary School's Multi- purpose Building Monday, October 28 at 7 p.m. The reception, sponsored by the Dayton Lions and Kiwanis Clubs, is an opportunity for those interested in Honor Flight program to learn more about it. All are welcome to attend.

Honor Flight recipients fly free to Washington D.C. and tour war memorials and Ar- lington National Cemetery. The entire cost of the trip is paid for by donations and is free to the Honor Flight par- ticipant. If the participant re- quires or desires a "guardian" (helper), the guardian must pay their own plane fare.

Flights for 2014 will be available for all interested WWII veterans who have not already participated in the program. The INW Honor Flights for Korean War Vet- erans will be next. All inter- ested Korean and Vietnam War veterans are encouraged to attend and learn about the program as well.
