Starbuck Potluck and History Presentation

Starbuck will be hosting a potluck in the park by the school on Sunday, July 14 at 1:00 p.m. Bring a dish to share, your own beverage, utensils and a lawn chair.

The potluck will be followed by a presentation by retired professor and author, Mahlon E. Kriebel of Garfield, WA. Mr. Kriebel has done extensive research on Fort Walla Walla's cav- alry officer, General George Wright, who led U.S. Caval- ry troops through Starbuck's back yard on their campaign following the Battle of Step- toe. The presentation will take place at 2:00 p.m. in the school gymnasium.

Following the presenta- tion, Mr. Kriebel will have a signing for those who wish to purchase his book, "Bunchgrass Historian: Battle of To-Hots-Nim-Me", in which he shares details of his research on events between the U. S. Cavalry and the Coeur d'Alene Indians.
