DAYTON - Dayton's small and young track and field team headed to its first event of the season and was greeted by flurries of excitement, snow flurries that is.
The meet was originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 20 but had to be rescheduled to Friday, March 22 due to inclement weather. Friday's weather wasn't much warmer, when flurries picked up during the boys 3200 race. The snow caused runners in the boys and girls 4x400 to be nearly invisible as they headed down the back stretch, head coach Dan Nechodom said.
