Blue Mountain Heritage Society 6th Annual Ground "Hog" Day Sausage Fest

Dinner: 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Program: 6:45

Youth Building at Colum- bia County Fairgrounds

Individual - $12.50 Fam- ily - $35.00

Dinner is followed with a program by "William Mc- Bean" the last factor of the Hudson's Bay Company at Fort Walla Walla, who shares his experiences during the fur trade era in our area. Funds are used to support the Palus Museum, Smith Hol- low School Restoration and the Columbia County His- tory Book Project. Tickets are available at Village Shoppes, BMHS Board Members or at the door.

The Liberty Theater holds its third annual Casino Night to benefit Touchet Valley Arts Council that operates the theater. Many kinds of casino gaming will be available, as well as food, drink and live entertainment. Admission is free but limited to those 21 and older. For more informa- tion call 509-382-1380.

Best Sessions: Tools for Building a Value-Added Economy, Pt. 2

This is a two-part seminar. Part 1 presented a value- added model for new produc- ers, shared where resources are to help you develop your value-added business. Part 2 will provide information as to how to write a successful proposal to the USDA for value-added producer grants. Part 1 was held on 1/7/13.
