Waitsburg Mayor Walt Gobel receives a check for $1,000 from Pacific Power's Regional Community Manager Bill Clemens. The money will be used in conjunction with an Oregon Foundation grant for banners and hanging baskets on Main Street. Also, citizens may have noticed a bench recently installed on Main Street next to the city's clock in memory of former resident Hazel Rose, whose daughters worked with the city to collect donations for the bench.
