AA MEETINGS ANNOUNCED

BASKETBALL TOURNEY CANCELED

WAITSBURG - The planned first-of-its-kind Touchet Valley Alumni Basketball Tournament scheduled for this weekend has been canceled because too few teams registered for the event. Only three teams registered with one more as a possibility, but that was not enough to pay officials and run the two-day event, which would have raised money for the new Cardinals press box and sports equipment storage building.

REPS HOST TELEPHONE TOWNHALL

OLYMPIA - Sixteenth District state representatives Maureen Walsh and Terry Nealey will be hosting a telephone town hall with constituents Thursday. March 17.

The hour-long call is much like a talk radio show where people can simply listen or ask questions of their representatives. Those who wish to participate may call on Thursday, March 17, starting at 6:30 p.m. The toll-free number is (877) 229-8493, then callers will need to enter pin number 15516.
