Sweet Spot

WALLA WALLA - It's never too early to starting thinking about the baseball season. Now Walla Walla Sweets fans can don their local club's gear until the summer ritual resumes in 2011 thanks to the reopening of the Sweets Shoppe on Main Street. The store at 109 E. Main, which is open M-F 9:30 - 5:30, Sat. 10-4, has new merchandise for all ages and sizes, ranging from sweat­shirts and fleece blankets to hats and boot bags. The Sweets Shoppe was closed two months ago after smoke from a small fireruined the old inventory.

If that isn't enough to get excited about the upcoming season, the Sweets are host­ing a fall community event with coaches, staff and play­ers 2 - 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13 at the Sherwood Athletic Center on the Whit­man College campus.
