STARBUCK MAN REMAINS MISSING

September 30, 2010

STARBUCK - After a two-day search of the area around Starbuck last week, three dog teams from Idaho Mountain Rescue were unable to located Bob Bulota, the 64-year-old bachelor who has been missing from Starbuck since March and its presumed to have ended his own life.

Columbia County Sheriff's Deputy Don Foley, who has been leading the missing person's investigation, said no sign of Bulota or his remains turned up in the last-ditch effort to findhim. Foley said the only hope now is that someone will find him during the upcoming hunting season, but otherwise no more police efforts will be made. "Everything that could be done has been done," Foley said. Bulota's family is expected to seek a death certificate to help bring legal closure to the tragedy.
