M-F Man Dies After Crash On Highway 125

WALLA WALLA - A Milton- Freewater man involved in a head-on collision last Friday near Harvey Shaw Road on Highway 125 died Monday.

The man, Charles N. Wallace, 58, worked for the Blue Mountain Action Council and the Christian Aid Center. Wallace was a passenger driven by Eric W. Banks, 52, of Walla Walla. Police say Cody James Lynch, 23, of Waitsburg, was driving a Chevrolet Cavalier and crossed over the center line, striking the other vehicle at 7 a.m. Inattention was listed as the cause.

All three men were taken to Providence St. Mary Medical Center after the crash. Lynch and Banks were treated and released.

Wallace was later transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he died.

The Washington State Patrol is continuing to investigate the accident.
