DAYTON - Physicians Kim Abernethy and Marek Marcinkiewicz have resigned from their positions with Columbia County Health System, effective Dec. 29, according to interim Chief Executive Officer Jon Smiley. PRESCOTT - Preliminary results from the Nov. 4 General Election show the Prescott Pool Maintenance and Operations levy passing easily with 69.04% of Walla Walla and Columbia County voters approving the levy. A 60% super majority is required to approve the pool's annual $110,000 levy, which translates to about 37 cents per $1,000 of evaluation, down slightly from 40 cents per $1,000 last year and 45 cents per $1,000 in 2012.
