On Friday, Jan. 6, Waitsburg senior Emily Adams officially signed on to compete in both cross country and track and field for the Lewis-Clark State College Warriors. Adams was offered a partial scholarship and verbally committed to the Warriors in December. Adams says she plans to study kinesiology (the study of human movement) and hopes to become a physical therapist. RITZVILLE – After a one-day weather delay, the Dayton boys’ basketball team made the trip to Ritzville, but came away with a loss, 49-38. WALLA WALA – After 54 years, the Valley Girls Barrel Racing Association is still going strong in the Walla Walla Valley with 96 members. The VGBRA closed its 2016 season after competing in 28 races which were held in various locations, including the Walla Walla Fairgrounds indoor and outdoor arenas The Pioneer Posse grounds, Don Johnson arena in Waitsburg and the Columbia County Fairgrounds in Dayton.
