Columbia County Commissioner Chuck Amerein and Eugene Sutton raise the flag with the help of student volunteers. In his speech, Amerein acknowledged the students' contributions to Memorial Day tradition. "What you're doing today is the one thing that (veterans) most appreciate even though they are not here now; recognizing them, what they did and their sacrifice," he said.
