David J. Elkins, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on September 9, 2026, at the age of 73.
David was born on October 27, 1952. He was a man who found happiness in the simple things in life, especially being outdoors and spending time with the people he loved. Whether exploring a trail, spending time at camp, or simply sitting together around a campfire, David treasured being surrounded by family.
David is survived by his children, David Elkins and his wife, Sara, and Tabitha Haney and her husband, Mark. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Mikel Vance, Nickolas Vance, and Owen Elkins, his sister Delphine, numerous other siblings, their families, and many extended family members and friends.
David was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Elkins, and his siblings, Scott Elkins, Betty Knight, and Leonard Elkins.
His family will remember not only the man he was, but the time he gave them, the adventures they shared, and the memories he helped create. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
