Waitsburg students earned places at Amazing Shake Global Competition

WAITSBURG - Twenty-one Waitsburg students participated in the regional Amazing Shake challenge held in Mattawa, Wash., on Tuesday, February 3. Students from grades 4 through 8 vied for six spots to compete in the Amazing Shake Global Competition in Atlanta, Georgia.

On Wednesday, February 4, the six Waitsburg students who earned spots to compete in Georgia were announced at a morning assembly. Placing first is 6th-grader Oaklee Adams, second is 7th-grader Katherine Roberts, and third place went to 5th-grader Olivia Long. The remaining winners are 5th-grader Bridger Abel, 6th-grader Myles Frasco, and 7th-grader Jaylynn Gleason.

"All of the students performed extremely well in difficult situations at Mattawa, and I am excited for the six that will be going to Atlanta on March 24," said Tracy Barron.
