Trace Nesje gets ready to show his steer at the Waitsburg Junior Livestock Show on Saturday, June 7 at the Waitsburg Fairgrounds. The event saw returning faces and families and welcomed many new participants. There was an increase in local participation, and organizers are hoping to see that continue. The state fair judge visited Saturday and awarded the Waitsburg Junior Livestock Board the Black and White Superintendent's Award. There were 35 sheep, 24 goats, nine beef cattle, 23 swine, two poultry, and six rabbits, as well as applied arts presentations.
