Peril On The High Seas

DAYTON - The Liberty Theater and TVAC Productions present "Peril on the High Seas or...Let's Get Together and Do Launch" by Billy St. John.

This TVAC production will be the second directed by Wolf Harter of Walla Walla. Harter has also been a cast member and backstage assistant in past Liberty Theater productions.

"Peril on the High Seas" is a dramedy set in the roaring twenties. A young, beautiful heiress, Merry Ann Sweet, sets out for her first adventure on the HMS Majestic. She will discover fun, friendship, and perhaps romance on the seas.

However, storms are brewing on the HMS Majestic as the vile and villainous Snively Swine plots a kidnapping. It is up to the dedicated police Sergeant Will Ketchum to stop Snively's dastardly plan before he succeeds in whisking away the hapless heiress.

"Come see how the story unfolds and be a part of this excellent production from the comedic mind of Billy St. John," said Harter.

The cast features Kaelee McCauley as the heiress Merry Ann Sweet and Alex Laposi as her aunt and chaperone Bea Goode. Michael Ferrians plays the scheming villain Snively Swine, and Aracnia Webb is his partner in crime, Mariah Carlyle. Sasha Collins is the ship's entertainment director, Skeet Suiter.

Other cast members include Hallyn Boggs, Skylar McCann, Rozalynn Harvey, Casey Collins, Adrienne Jonas-Cooper, Devin Greenup, Merritt Scoggin, Carson Potter, Laura Hinze, and Genesis Thompson.

Reservations are required for live performances, available online at https://libertytheater.org/stage-productions.html or the theater's box office. Showtimes are May 9, May 10, May 16, and May 17 at 7 pm and May 11 and 18 at 3 pm.

The producers dedicate the show to Chase Harvey and Marshall Nechodom, who they say are "forever on our production's "Most Wanted" list."
